5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on the Platform and on the websites we host for Business Clients. Some are needed to make the site work. Others are optional, and you decide whether we use them.

5.1 Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential Cookies: Needed to run the Platform: keeping you signed in, protecting forms, remembering a booking in progress, and processing payments. These are always on and do not track you across other websites.

  • Preference Cookies: Remember settings such as your appearance choice and your cookie decision.

  • Analytics Cookies: Help us and our Business Clients understand how the site is used, such as which pages and features people visit. We use Google Analytics for this.

  • Advertising Cookies: Let Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) see when a visit or booking came from one of a Business Client's ads, and show more relevant ads elsewhere.

5.2 Your Choices

If you are in California, Quebec, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them in the cookie notice at the bottom of the page. Everywhere else, they are on by default.

Anyone can turn analytics and advertising cookies on or off at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page. No account is needed. Your choice is stored in a cookie on your browser for one year, carries over when you go from a Business Client's website to the Platform to book or pay, and is saved to your account if you are signed in, so you should not have to answer twice.

We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal as a request to turn these cookies off. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but essential cookies are required for booking and payment to work.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

  • Encryption of data in transit and at rest

  • Secure payment processing through PCI-DSS compliant providers

  • Regular security assessments and updates

  • Access controls and authentication requirements

  • Employee training on data protection practices

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. As described in our Terms of Service, Business Clients are independently responsible for the security of data they access through the Platform and for the physical security of their facilities.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to:

  • Provide our services to you

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements

  • Maintain business records

When your information is no longer needed, we will securely delete or anonymize it. Booking history and transaction records are typically retained for at least 7 years for accounting and tax purposes.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

8.1 Access and Portability

You have the right to access your personal information and receive a copy of it in a structured, commonly used format.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States where Advanced Golf Solutions LLC is headquartered. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy, including standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms where required.

  • Right to delete personal information, subject to exceptions

  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information

  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. For visitors in California, analytics and advertising cookies are off until you accept them.

  • Right to data portability

  • Right to withdraw consent

  • Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

We only set analytics and advertising cookies with your consent, which you give or withdraw through the cookie notice at the bottom of the page or the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place.

Our legal basis for processing your information includes:

  • Contract Performance: Processing necessary to provide our services

  • Legitimate Interests: Improving our platform, preventing fraud, marketing

  • Consent: Where you have given explicit consent, including for analytics and advertising cookies

  • Withdraw your consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions

  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec

For visitors in Quebec, analytics and advertising cookies are off until you accept them in the cookie notice. Elsewhere in Canada, they are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page.
